Dalsnibba - a Road into the Sky

The road to Dalsnibba is one of the most breathtaking drives in Norway. From the fjord village of Geiranger, you ascend rapidly through hairpin turns, leaving the deep blue waters far below. As you drive, waterfalls tumble down the cliffs and snow-dusted peaks appear on the horizon.

The final stretch, Nibbevegen, is a private pay road that winds steeply up the mountain. It’s narrow, dramatic, and absolutely stunning. Every curve reveals a new perspective—first the valley, then rocks, and finally snow.

At the top, the Geiranger Skywalk awaits—a metal platform that juts out beyond the edge of the mountain. Standing there, at over a 1,500-meter, you get a full panoramic view of the Geirangerfjord, distant glaciers, and endless alpine peaks. On clear days, it feels like floating above the world as the clouds roll in below you.

It’s one of those places that makes the journey as unforgettable as the destination.
