Mittåkläppen - a nice hike with fantastic views

Are you looking for a moderately challenging mountain hike with magnificent views and waffles as a reward? Then Mittåkläppen (1212 m) is an excellent choice! The hike starts at Djupdalsvallen's parking lot, where you get to via a beautiful gravel road from Bruksvallarna (toll applies).

The trail - one of Funäsfjällen's classic Gold Tours - is approximately 6 km round trip with just over 300 meters of elevation gain. It starts in a birch forest and continues up on bare mountain, with two different paths to the top: a flatter one and a steeper one. At the top, fantastic views of Helags, Sylarna, Anåfjället and more await.

At the starting point is Djupdalsvallen's waffle hut, where you can treat yourself to freshly baked waffles with cloudberry jam - before or after the summit hike.

A perfect day trip for hikers, families and nature lovers who want to experience the mountains without going too far. Don't forget your camera and windbreaker!
