Segerstad Nature Reserve – Archipelago without a boat at Lake Vänern

Just 20 minutes west of Karlstad awaits Segerstad Nature Reserve – a beautiful and varied part of Lake Vänern’s archipelago. Here you will encounter pine forests, cliffs, sandy beaches and quiet bays. It is a perfect excursion destination for families with children, nature lovers and hikers alike.

One of the most unique experiences is the long footbridges that lead straight out through the reeds. They wind over wetlands and take you all the way out into the open archipelago – a magical walk with birdsong and the lapping of the waves as company.

Several shorter hiking trails are in the area, one of which is wheelchair accessible. Along the trails you will find picnic areas, barbecue areas and great swimming opportunities.

Segerstad Nature Reserve is easy to reach by car and has good parking facilities. Pack a snack, lace up your shoes and discover one of Värmland’s most beautiful natural areas!
